Hello everyone:

Some last-minute excellent news out of the White House: the Biden administration is “pausing” permitting for the first (and probably the rest) of seventeen planned massive LNG export terminals on the Gulf coast, in order to better assess the projects’ (disastrous) climate impacts. If this decision holds, as it should, the benefit to the climate will dwarf the harms to be caused by the Willow oil project in Alaska, which the administration approved this year to great dismay.
