Jason, It is such a pleasure to read your work. I always learn so much and find myself moved to action. I found "Parasites and Countermeasures" somehow comforting and horrific all at once -- and here we are -- with so much work to do. Today, we'll focus on our rewilding project.
A brilliant essay Jason. Yes the better angels' operation has always been a low budget affair and always in need of support
That's why I'm a paid subscriber. You touched on and made connections between so many features of our world and I shan't comment. I'm off to the hospital for a surgery. Too bad the parasites currently governing our storm-lashed land seek to defund health care.
Thank you, Michael. You've always been such a stalwart supporter here, and I very much appreciate it. Be well, and I look forward to hearing from you post-surgery.
A fine analysis of echoes of biological parasitism in human affairs, Jason. And it could be carried even further. I had just finished reading some analysis of Trump's foreign policy and sense it could be argued that part of what he's rejecting is longstanding European parasitism - benefitting for generations from our costly military shield.
Thanks, Andy. Good to hear from you. I'd have to read more to have a solid opinion, but my sense is that the relationship with Europe is about more than getting the life sucked out of us... How about a partial or hemiparasitism?
Parasitism.
One of nature's interplays.
Humans can choose else.

Comforting and horrific is my specialty... as I write about a transformed but beautiful world. Thanks for doing all you're doing.
Such an interesting take on parasitism and respect.
Thank you, Diane.
Wonderfully written and so true.
Thank you, Susan.
This is great! Thanks for this perspective.
Thanks, Rob. Good to have you here.
Beautiful and brilliant. I do wish we humans could be as intelligent as a cow-wheat flower.
Mary Lou
Thank you, Mary Lou. It's a worthy aspiration, right?
Beautiful as always. The juxtaposition of the photos of animal and industrial parasites are brilliant
Thank you, Moshe. It took a while to find the right pairings, but I liked the result too.

The community here will be keeping you in mind. See you when you're up and around.
