Congratulations on the book. I always enjoy your writings, yet do prefer a book in hand over computer so eagerly look forward to reading Roast Penguin Chronicles! Happy for the Field Guide, too! Thanks for eloquently sharing news.

“It is, from a culinary angle, a collection of remarkable tales …”

Love the “culinary angle”, great use of the word. Excited for you, Jason!

Best of luck, does that mean you will be off on a book tour? ( I think that would be the only part I could do without).

No book tour, Lor, but I'll do some promotion here and there.

The food history angle is fun for a couple reasons: I'm neither a foodie nor a historian. But I lived and breathed Antarctica for quite a while, and so found a new way to tell it's stories.

Thank you, David. I am hoping the audience grows for a book I put a lot of time into, and for a history that deserves more than just the usual Shackleton story. We'll see how it goes.

Thank you, Rebecca. Antarctic history is fascinating. Not necessarily for the faint of heart - lots of penguin and seal eating in the early days - but full of great stories.

Thanks, Julie. It's a different voice and a different subject than what I'm up to with the Field Guide, but it's a fun and unique book full of great stories.

Thanks, Rebecca. It's a new version of the old book, so much is the same, but we framed up every chapter with some memoir, did a lot of editing, moved around stuff in the last chapter, etc. I hope it finds some new readers.
