Get well quick, Jason. Take what measures you can to prevent Long Covid. It's the real danger.

This is so moving, and heartfelt. I love how you communicate the utter despair with all the hope and possibility mixed in, tho soft and subtle. I think your Covid brain may have stumbled upon some beautiful complexity. It’s ironic really. I’d to here your thoughts on how Covid-19 has played a part. I mean I’m thinking we have had a hand in creating this virus fueled world. Fuel...that word just popped in.

Well, Mary Ann, you've made my (feverish) day... Too tired to respond properly to your question, but certainly part of the disrupted world is the increased likelihood of novel zoonotic infections. Our treatment of animals, especially, risks a viral response. And yes, fuel is the right verb for the acceleration.

Jason, I got 2 emails offering me 3 gift subscriptions to your newsletter, but I can’t seem to get to the place to make that selection. It wants me to log in, but I use the app and don’t have any login info for a browser.

Any suggestions?

Hi Mary Ann, I'm sorry but that's all beyond my end of things. I assume these were auto-emails from Substack? My guess is that whatever login info it wants is your general sign-in for Substack, or perhaps you have another sign-in for the app? As a side note, I'm not sure how a gift subscription works since you're already a paid subscriber. Wish I could be more help, Mary Ann. Thank you again for your support of my work here. Good luck.

Wonderful. Thank you, Mary Ann. I realize now that I misunderstood the question earlier. I thought you were being offered subscriptions... Glad it's sorted. Again, thank you for your thoughtfulness.
